As operator for the Alvheim, Bøyla, Volund and Vilje fields, Det norske has become a major producer of oil and gas. The Alvheim FPSO is a flagship, both for the company and for the area. Det norske is now one of the biggest independent listed oil companies in Europe, measured by production.
Det norske is a licensee in eight producing fields, and the operator of four of these; Alvheim (65 per cent), Jette (70 per cent), Vilje (46,9 per cent), and Volund (65 per cent). We are partner in Atla (10 per cent), Jotun (7 per cent), and Varg (5 per cent). Due to technical problems, Enoch has not been producing in 2013. Production on the Glitne field ended in 2013.
Det norske’s production had an enormous increase to 24.3 million barrels of oil equivalent in 2014. In all, Det norskes’s production increased by 1 393 per cent.
